This bowl was handcrafted from a Norway Maple that grew next to the President’s House at 43 Hillhouse Avenue. The huge tree was removed on July 1, 2013 as part of the renovation to the building. It was the same day that Peter Salovey became the 23rd President of Yale University. This bowl is #15 of the 23 bowls turned from this tree. It measures 5 inches high and 8 inches in diameter.
