Kline Chemistry Oak
This massive oak tree was at least 150 years old. It grew in the courtyard of the Kline Chemistry Building on Science Hill. The tree grew adjacent to the north wall of the Sterling Chemistry Building. The tree was cut on July 3, 2012 to facilitate the remodeling of the Kline Chemistry labs. The tree is old enough that Sterling Chemistry and Kline Chemistry Laboratories were both built around this tree.
