Peabody Dinosaur Maple # 13
This bowl was hand-turned from the base of a large and heavily burled maple tree that grew along Whitney Avenue in front of the Peabody Museum of Natural History near the dinosaur statue. The tree was removed in the spring of 2016 to prepare for renovations to the Museum. This is bowl # 13 of the bowls turned from this tree. It measures 6 1/4” in diameter and is 3 inches high.
