President's House Elm #12
This bowl was handcrafted from an elm that grew in front of the President’s House at 43 Hillhouse Avenue. The huge tree was removed on July 2, 2013 as part of the renovation to the building. It was the same month that President Peter Salovey became the 23rd President of Yale University. This is bowl #12 of the 23 bowls that will be crafted from this tree. This bowl is 6 1/4” in diameter and 4” high.
