York Street Sweet Gum European Pen
These pens were turned from a 35 year old Sweet Gum tree that grew on York Street between Jonathon Edwards College and Branford College and across the street from the University Theater and the Rose Alumni House. The tree died and was cut down by the city of New Haven. There is a remarkable contrast between the spalting black lines and the normal heartwood of the pen.
Also contains a designer pen box and a card describing the history of the tree and its location.
